10 inexpensive ways to plan a children’s Halloween party for under $40

  • Make halloween party invitations have your child/children help www.kids-party-paradise.com (include if it’s a costume party or not) allow enough time for replies. (Usually 2 weeks is sufficient).
  • Wait for responses, make calls get an exact count for the Halloween party.
  • Go shopping for the halloween party (idea list below)
  • 1 pack of hot dogs, about $3.50
    1 large pack of rolls, about $2.50
    1 large bag of plain potato chips, about $2.50
    1 large bag of pretzels, about $2.50
    1 large bag of apples, about $3.00
    1 gallon of fruit juice (the green is fun for Halloween), about 3.00

  • 1 large box of Jell-O chocolate instant pudding
    1 pack of Oreo cookies
    1 bag of gummy worms or gummy bugs

    Mix pudding follow directions on the back of the box, crush Oreos, when ready place pudding in a deep bowl placed crushed Oreos on top, bury the worms and or bugs in the pudding leave a few sticking out. The kids will love it.

  • Pick your halloween music, www.kidsturncentral.com remember nothing to scary this is for children
  • Go to the dollar store purchase plates, napkins, cups and a few little Halloween games that you can play with the kids. Also, pick up a few decorations for the house, streamers, balloons, etc. Should cost less then $10.00
  • Sit down write a list to organize your Halloween party. Example… Eat at 1 pm, musical chairs at 3 pm, bob for apples at 3:30. (Get the idea?) Do it your way what’s best for you.
  • Get the house together (kid proof it) also, if it’s a nice day allow for some outside play, make sure your clear on what rooms are off limit.
  • Make a place where the kids can bob for apples this is always fun to watch and take plenty of pictures.
  • If the budget allows it buy a few disposable cameras and place them around. Let the kids take the Halloween party pictures, this could be very interesting.
  • Your budget is $40.00 your list above only adds up to about $27.00. You may want to take the extra and get each child a little prize for dressing up. You can purchase small reasonable gifts at the dollars store. Enjoy your Halloween Party….
